Brent Seabrook wristed a shot from the point, and Eric Staal coolly redirected it past Ryan Miller. This would turn out to be the strategy for both teams?put the puck on net and see what happens?but the theme of the night was quite simply Brian Rafalski.Canada, in control and now tied, seemed to be where they belonged after the Staal goal.In stepped Rafalski (Detroit blue liner turned true American hero).Twenty-three seconds after they tied the game, the Canadians made a big mistake.Rafalski (who else?) started a break, and Zach Parise dumped the puck in, but for some reason Canadian goalie and true national hero Martin Brodeur decided to knock it out of the air with his stick, Wimbledon backhand style. The puck only made it to the slot, where Rafalski awaited, and on this night, for this player, there was no doubt about what would happen. Emery fell to the ground as the sellout crowd in Provo's Marriott Center loudly booed Henderson, who was ejected.Under Rule 10, Section seven, Article two, a fighting infraction results in an automatic one-game suspension. Now the Celtics would have LeBron, Wade, and Rondo with 11 mil left over to fill the rst of the gaps. That might be crazy, but why wouldnt James want to play in Boston? It is a HUGE market, and he would have more around him there then New York or New Jersey. These included Ben Roethlisberger, who had a shoulder injury, Philip Rivers, who had a personal problem, and Peyton Manning, who was in the Super Bowl. So put that one to bedNow on to the controversial one, the hit last night on Brett Favre. The Bearkats' magic number for a regular season championship is now one.Key Wins: Rider (Neutral), Auburn (Road)Key Losses: Cleveland State (Road), Western Michigan (Road), Texas-San Antonio (Road) 17. They have to figure out a way of getting rid of the "under-performing" players and keeping the productive ones. They could do that through trades, but they could also refuse to resign players to more contracts.
Shortly thereafter, the NFL initiated a study on the correlations between concussions and depression. There are plenty of incidents where students are sent home for wearing inappropriate clothing to school. Maybe a girls shorts are too short, or a kid wears a ck you shirt he got from Spencers, but this story is ridiculous.Steve Vampran, Principal of Maurepas High School located in Louisiana, told student Brandon Frost he needed to change his shirt on Friday because it was the wrong color. The school normally has a dress code that's enforced, but Vampran allowed students to wear Black and Gold to support the Saints in their first ever Super Bowl appearance. Well, Frost moved three years prior to Louisiana from Indianapolis. He's a Colts fan and decided to wear a Joseph Addai jersey.Frost told a CBS reporter, "I remember (Vampran) saying 'If you like Indiana so much, why don't you go back?" Vampran has since acknowledged he shouldn't have said that, according to a local school board member. Vampran is yet to comment on the incident.Frost was never forced to leave campus, but decided to because his father, Larry, told him if he received too much trouble for wearing the Colts jersey then he can head home. Now the situation is headed into an investigation to find out whether Vampran violated the first amendment. This is yet another example of a Principal overstepping his boundaries thinking he can enforce whatever law he chooses because he thinks the campus he's in charge of is his land. I hope Vampran is punished for his unconstitutional act so students can finally have a victory over these power hungry faculty members that think kids have no rights.Who Dat A Hole? Vampran dat A Hole. Led by quarterback Scott Tolzien and John Clay, the offense should be one of the best in the Big Ten, and the defense will also be solid. This should be an easy win for the Badgers, but their history of bad starts and inability to put teams away could spell trouble against Arizona State. While he looked improved when given spot duty during the playoffs, Leinart lacks consistency and has struggled more than he has excelled. It's safe to say that for an offense predicated on massive pass yardage, this could prove to be a huge step backwards. While Chris Wells and Tim Hightower have formed a pretty good running back tandem, they will now face stiffer run defenses until Leinart can prove he's the real deal.

Bobby assumed Buddy D’s role and admitted he would don the dress in Buddy D’s memory and for the fans.Is anyone really surprised?Bobby & Buddy’s Brawds “Bunch of Men Dress March”, will second line from the Superdome to the French Quarter for a block party at Bourbon and Conti. His family gave him the keys to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and also gave him an open checkbook. Recruiting is no doubt a tedious and arduous task, but no one in college football makes it look easier than Mack Brown. Now personally, I don’t put much stock in rumours and second hand accusations of steroid use. It's really too hard to tell if a team really does have good team chemistry unless you're in the locker room with them, but they seem to really play well as a team, and they've got a lot depth as well. He's a strikeout waiting to happen but still has enough left in the tank to offer 20 homers from the tail end of the lineup.J.D Drew is overpaid and overrated.
The world's most famous sportsman came and stood in front of family, friends, gave the most highly anticipated statement in the world, and left.A supposed five-minute speech turned into a 14-minute one, as Tiger Woods apologised for his "irresponsible and selfish behaviour," admitting for the first time to his wife Elin Nordegren, "I was unfaithful, I had affairs, I cheated. The company is planning more billboards to this effect with potential slogans like “Who reallybelongs in the Hall of Fame?”“We haven’t given up hope on the Hall of Fame,” he said.North Dakota doesn’t have much, but one thing they have is Maris, and, damn, do they love him.Photo courtesy Newman Outdoor AdvertisingRelated StoriesJan. This is again echoed by the number of times the shot clock nearly expires when the Gophers are forced to run a half court set. Rice called him out in the clubhouse, in front of his teammates , and ridiculed him for having a batting average in the .270s when he hit .500 when he swung at the first pitch".Now other than the fact that it is lunacy to analyze based on a small sample (Hatteberg went 6 for 13 when swinging at the first pitch in 2000, but .319 during his time in Boston in 138 ABs), it was a reflection of the organization as a whole. He is someone I see beating top guys for many years to come..
